Got something ugly?

Everyone has something ugly they want to get rid of. Even big name celebrities has ugly things they wish they had never gotten. I bet Madonna wants to dump this ugly dress she wore.

Better yet who still owns what has to be one of the ugliest cars ever made? If you were thinking about the Gremlin you would be close. The Pacer below would get my vote. The car that looked like a greenhouse on wheels.

Or how about a homemade gizmo like this little treasure? A flesh and bone engine. It must have been a left over from the high price of gasoline last year.

So do you have something ugly to get rid of? I bet you do. Would you like to get something for it? I bet you do. Well you can. If you post a picture or video of something ugly you want to get rid of on LG Bliss Facebook Fan Page you can win a brand new LG Bliss phone. The contest runs from 9/11/2009 to 11/6/2009 and you can post a photo or video of something you consider ugly (sorry no people pics) and want to get rid of.

So what are you getting rid of? Got an old outdated piece of electronics? How about that old VHS movie that you never watch (I think I have at least 10 of those collecting dust).

Models first, movie stars later

How many movie stars can you name that started out as models? Marilyn Monroe comes to mind first then Raquel Welch followed by Cybil Shepard. Did you know that Halle Berry also started out as a model? The Biography Channel even did a show about them. I wonder why they managed to leave out the male movie stars that started out as models.

Of course there are those that go from modeling straight to Playboy pinups and then on to the silver screen. With the advent of the internet, video models are no longer required to live in New York City or L.A., those areas are now for the runway models like those for Victoria Secret.

Many of the female models started out modeling clothes but a few of them started out with modeling cosmetics in print ads.

Here is a video from YouTube showing a wonderful selection of models showing off AMIClubwear.

I wonder if one of them will make it to the silver screen? Maybe one of them already has. AMI is also giving away a $300 gift certificate for just following them on YouTube, here are the official contest rules. Maybe you can win one of those outfits the girls are wearing in the video. Better yet model an outfit and make your own YouTube video and maybe one day you can follow the likes of Halle Berry and the others.

Beach wear, celebrity style

The basic bikini is still very much in vogue for celebrities at the beach. Some wear them well and others need to put a cover-up over their skinny frames. Below are just some of those famous gals with not so famous bodies, all in bikinis:

Hillary Duff

Lindsay Lohan

Nicole Richie

Now if you have delusions of wanting to look like the stars while at the beach I really think you can do better and look more like the swim suit model below showing off what those stars are suppose to look like in those bikinis.

This summer is starting to look good from all entertainment angles. Now if we can only get Nicole Richie to put some weight on or at least wear a one piece suit.

Kid stars trying to set fashion trends

You have seen it, child and teenage actors setting the fashion trends for the rest of us. Hanna Montana clothing lines in Walmart as well as the twins Kate and Ashley, all making a buck lending their names to clothing lines. Some of them actually design the clothes but the great majority just lend their names, for a price, to the label.

Do teenagers really buy those clothing lines? No not really, they tend to set their own styles according to the areas they live in and music that they listen to. Each music genre has it's own style with clothing to match. It is the mothers of those kids that the kid stars are trying to appeal to. Parents think they are hip if they buy an item for their teen that has a major stars' name on it.

In reality clothing styles and trends are designed by lesser known clothing designers like Aristabrat. That designer makes the trendy jeans shown below.

Of course the price tag for the jeans is in the $200 range but those are designer prices for you.

Another designer is kingsley kids clothes which is for boys (but can be worn by girls too). Here is one of their tees.
Both of those designer lines can be found at rsavenue.com

Angelina Jolie the tattooed lady

Angelina Jolie has at least 14 tattoos all over her body. A few of them are shown in the photo above - yes that is Jolie's back. Some are quite large and other are small symbols or good lucky charms. When she is doing a movie they are covered up by make-up. If she does not cover them up for celebrity events then she looks like the tattooed lady. If you want to find out in detail with photos all of Angelina Jolie's tattoos then click here.

Celebrities and plastic surgery

The biggest stars in Hollywood as well as singers and those working behind the Hollywood film industry will be on hand come Oscar night. Many of them have had plastic surgery - it is par for the course in their careers. Above is a dramtic photo showing Tara Reid's before and after her breast implants. I wonder how many stars we will be seeing on Oscar night that will be very noticible as Tara is.

Celebrity plastic surgery has become almost a normal thing for them to do. I wonder how many of them have had a tummy tuck? I ask that because of the numberous times I have seen "after" photos of an actress just weeks after having a baby. As a woman I know that it is almost impossible to look that good so soon after giving birth, a month or 2 later maybe, but not just a few weeks. Exercise is not going to get that dramic a look in just a week or 2. Loose skin takes time to spring back from being stretched out for the last 4 months of the pregnancy. Now if you want a more in depth look at one of the top California plastic surgeons that was featured on many TV shows go to one of the many links I have put in this post. This is the same place that does many of the top stars in Hollywood and they are located on the very exculsive Rodeo Drive.

Dress like a star

Celebrities can afford only the best clothes but they often chose to buy less expensive clothes for everyday wear and for casual gatherings. They are like us, we keep the best dresses and clothes for special occasions.

Heavenly Couture, located in Beverly Hills, California has the look that many celebrities want. Their prices on the other hand are the cheapest I have seen in ages for a store located there. Everything is priced under $17.95!!!! Looking through their online junior clothing section I know I have seen those fashions on some of the biggest named stars in Hollywood. They also have what I love, those long form fitting t-shirts. Forget the short baggy look for tees this is my place to shop. Take a look at the latest fashions that the stars are wearing then just take a look at what this place is offering.
