Damn, this week is nuts. Just today Zsa Zsa Gabor, who is 93 by the way, was taken to the hospital with a blood clot in her leg. There is a danger of it moving to her heart or lungs but she would probably undergo a quick procedure that puts a small filter in her vein that leads from her leg to her heart that will block the clot from killing her.
Next we had rumors of an Avatar 2 with Sigourney Weaver back on the screen......wait a minute, didn't she die in Avatar? Now "they" are saying that "Grace," the character that Sigourney played, did not die. I suspected that Grace got absorbed into the planet like all the other lifeforms did but to bring her back as a being, that will be interesting.
The hype over the new Harry Potter movie is .........lets say, ho hum. Not much fanfare played up on this one. A few TV ads but not like in years past where fans were lining the streets for the cinemas to open up. Most of the die hard Potter fans have grown up, grown older and are a lot less able to pay for the $13 movie ticket plus popcorn and a drink. The last time I took in a movie was last month and for 2 people it cost almost $50 for tickets, a drink and popcorn. The concession stand almost broke the bank!!
The Harry Potter movie has already premiered in London on Nov 11 and is expected to go nation wide in the USA on November 19th 2010. Now I ask you, why the delay? They should have opened it up the day after the premier or the same day. Oh well....it is after all just...... ho, hum.
Of course we had a few famous people pass away this week. Dino De Laurentiis left us at the ripe old age of 91.

The Conan O'Brien tour photo, does it look odd to you?

This photo appeared on CNN today and it stuck me as odd. It is suppose to be Conan O'Brien on his tour but it doesn't look right. His head looks too big for his body. Is this photo, photoshoped? You be the judge.

Got something ugly?
Everyone has something ugly they want to get rid of. Even big name celebrities has ugly things they wish they had never gotten. I bet Madonna wants to dump this ugly dress she wore.

Better yet who still owns what has to be one of the ugliest cars ever made? If you were thinking about the Gremlin you would be close. The Pacer below would get my vote. The car that looked like a greenhouse on wheels.

Or how about a homemade gizmo like this little treasure? A flesh and bone engine. It must have been a left over from the high price of gasoline last year.
So do you have something ugly to get rid of? I bet you do. Would you like to get something for it? I bet you do. Well you can. If you post a picture or video of something ugly you want to get rid of on LG Bliss Facebook Fan Page you can win a brand new LG Bliss phone. The contest runs from 9/11/2009 to 11/6/2009 and you can post a photo or video of something you consider ugly (sorry no people pics) and want to get rid of.
So what are you getting rid of? Got an old outdated piece of electronics? How about that old VHS movie that you never watch (I think I have at least 10 of those collecting dust).

Baby machine family, the Duggars are at it again
The Duggar family is now expecting their 19th child. The 42 year old baby machine, Michelle Duggar made the announcement of their expectant 19th child on Tuesday. Michelle won't have to worry about changing more diapers as she has rarely done that chore in the past 10 years. The newborn will be "assigned" to another child to rear. They call it the buddy system. I call it a cop out. Of course Jim, the father, will not have to worry about were to get the money from to feed another mouth, they have a TV show and the more the merrier. If it was not the fact they were on TV for having so many kids in the first place I doubt if they would have even had the money for the house they live in.
It was the Duggars, Jim and his mother, who got the brilliant idea to approach a TV network with the idea of filming their large brood. The Discovery Channel was interested with the idea and bought it. Jim was building a home at the time and had run out of money. In fact the family was living on handouts from relatives. Lets say they were almost on the verge of welfare. The Discovery Channel stepped in and paid for the house to be finished.
Now that the family was on TV they could push their form of religion - breed like crazy. They have their own church. with a few close friends to make it a tax deduction. I wonder if the IRS should be looking into that. They also home school most of the kids. That way the children don't know any better when it comes to what a parent should be doing and not having the older children raise the younger children.
Good parenting skills went out the door when those dollar signs from heaven - opps I meant the Discovery Channel, showed up in their bank account.
That family has stirred up so much controversy since their 16th child, it is not funny anymore. Of course the internet is ripe with rumors and facts of the oldest children hating being raised like a herd. All of the older girls have been taught the same values as mom, find a husband and have lots of kids. Don't bother with a college education you won't need it to spend most of your time playing jungle gym in bed.
Here is an article about their life when the 18th child was on their way. You need to scroll down the page and read the comments since that is where you will find the rampant flame throwing.

Ryan Jenkins, the murder suspect of his ex-wife Jasmine was found dead in a motel room in Canada. The millionaire fled from California along the coast in his boat. Motive remains a mystery and there are thoughts that another person is involved. The motel room that he was found hanging in was in a womans name and was paid by a woman. The mystery woman is yet to be identified.
This case is now considered closed by the police but I wonder if there is more to it than meets the eye.

Beach wear, celebrity style
The basic bikini is still very much in vogue for celebrities at the beach. Some wear them well and others need to put a cover-up over their skinny frames. Below are just some of those famous gals with not so famous bodies, all in bikinis:
Hillary Duff
Lindsay Lohan
Nicole Richie
Now if you have delusions of wanting to look like the stars while at the beach I really think you can do better and look more like the swim suit model below showing off what those stars are suppose to look like in those bikinis.

This summer is starting to look good from all entertainment angles. Now if we can only get Nicole Richie to put some weight on or at least wear a one piece suit.

Celebrities and going green
You see many actors, singers and other celebrity types in the news with conservation efforts but when was the last time you saw one lending their name or becoming a spokesman for a "green" product? All I see are actresses advertising cosmetics or weigh loss products, I don't see them advertising low energy appliances or bio fuels.
Lets face it when do you hear of someone famous pushing a Go Green Home Business Opportunity, or mentioning a company that goes the extra mile towards less pollution. It is the everyday person and not celebrities that are making a difference. Now it is time for the unsung heroes to become the new celebrities of today.
It is people like Jon M Queen, carbon credit specialist and environmental investor, aims to help individuals who are interested in putting up a green home based business. Know more about him through Jon Queen's profile.

The Octuplets mom is a lazy B****

If you have been watching the saga of the Octuplets and their self serving mother (Nadya Suleman) you would know that the mom has done very little in the way of actually taking care of those newborns. She recently "fired" her troop of volunteer and licensed nurses to bring in her own paid nurses from Kaiser hospital. Now I wonder who is paying for that specialized care. Is it the taxpayer? It might be since she could not afford the hospital bill for when they were born. In California if a patient can't pay then the state steps in and covers the bill so that a person is not denied medical attention when they need it.
The allegations are getting hot and heavy concerning the fact that the mother does not lift a finger to care for her babies and lets the nurses do everything. She goes on shopping sprees with donated money of course because she had nothing, not even a job or her own home when this all begun.
In my honest opinion I do think she had this all planned from the very beginning. Make headlines with the number of children and plead poverty for donations. After all there are 2 successful TV shows about very large families so why not one more? So far she has been right on the money. She has a new house and furniture plus $1 million in cash. All of that in under 6 weeks since this all began. How many of us can say the same thing for an unwed mother with kids who don't even know who their father is?
Poor Dr. Phil, he should have kept out of that mess. He is now trying to wash his hands of the whole affair. Phil, take my advice, you got into it too deep and you won't come away from that mess so clean.
