Twitter has proven again that it is a force worth reckoning. This time the rumor that Cher had died was being tweeted like wildfire Thursday and Friday (Jan 26-27, 2012) until it was proved to be either a joke, prank or something else.
It goes to prove how much people will repeat something they read or heard even if they have no proof. Can you say politics?

The members of 2 metal bands, Early Graves and Funeral Pyre were involved in a fatal car accident in Oregon at 5:30 am this morning. Makh Daniels, the lead vocalist for the band Early Graves was killed as he was ejected from the Chevy van that he was riding in with the rest of the band. Daniels was sleeping in the rear of the van along with another band member, Tyler S. Jensen. The van's driver, Justin H. Garcia of the band Funeral Pyre apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Motley Crue - where are they now?
The heavy metal band of the 1980's and into the early 1990's with many tops videos on MTV and now VH1, Motley Crue, are they still around? So what are they up to? Are they still a band? I took a look and here is what I found:
Yes they are still doing tours and they have just released their 9th album. Since forming in 1981 they broke up briefly in the late 1990's and got back together around 2005. They are working on a movie called Dirt that is in the works and might be released sometime in 2011.

Don't judge a book by it's cover
The most stunning performance by a singer in the last few days was by Susan Boyle a contestant on Britain's got Talent. People have got to learn not to judge a person by the way they look. Her performance is a "wake up call" for all who watch her. Here is the link to the YouTube video that has been watched all over the world.

New music video website
Hold on to your earphones, here is a great new music video website. It is called YouMusic.com - Got Music? Find Fans! Love Music? Find Talent!, yep a long title but worth the visit. I just spent 2 hours over there watching music videos by some very talented people.
So here is one of my favorite videos at YouMusic, it is called Welcome to the World by the Underwater Pilots. Here is the link to the video. Welcome to the World.
That site is way better than any of the other music websites I have seen in a long time. The design and graphics are great.
Superbowl tailgate party with Journey - wheres Steve Perry?
For those of you that watched NBC's tailgate Superbowl show you saw the revamped rock group "Journey" minus Steve Perry. Steve left Journey in 1998 due to health reasons. Steve suffers from a degenerative bone disease and was unable to tour with the group.
The new lead singer is Steve Augeri who sounds almost identical to Perry. Of the original group only 2 members remain.

Madonna still rides
You remember when Madonna got married to Richie? She moved to the UK and got involved in horseback riding. Of course when she fell from her horse 3 years ago it was big news. Her cell phone rang and the horse spooked. She suffered with a broken arm and broken ribs but she never lost her love of riding.
After her divorce from Richie she continues to ride and in fact will be competing at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival (7 January-29 March) at Wellington, Florida with her trainer British eventer Daisy Trayford. Daisy has been training Madonna for the last 2 years now. Madonna at least got the good sense to get a competent horse trainer after her spill.
Now the question is will she find another man in her life that loves not only her but her horseback riding hobby? I don't think that she has to resort to an equestrian dating site like equestrian cupid . Yes there is a dating website just for horse owners to find each other. At least they have a FREE sign-up unlike those other dating sites.
I would love to see Madonna get hitched up with another horseback rider as a husband.
Eartha Mae Kitt dies
Eartha Kitt was known for her unusual voice and the fact she played one of the many "Catwomen" roles on the old TV series Batman. She was one of the first black women to gain access to White House functions in the form of a guest and not as one of the help.
Now that she is gone I can imagine that her movies and music will become collectors items overnight.
